Project Albedo is the first ever radiotelescope project in Sri Lanka developed by undergraduates of SLTC Research university. It was started in 2019 from four members and completed in 2022, having a team of 20+ members continuing projects and researches of it. It consists of 5m Parabolic dish antenna, receiving hydrogen line, located in paduka Sri Lanka. Anyone around the world are welcome to observe the universe through it.
This project is continuing under SEDS ( Students for Exploration and Development of Space ) allowing future undergraduates to study RF technologies and do researches related to radio astronomy. This is fully open source project and all the softwares, documents and project details are available on SEDS SLTC website.
