What is SEDS?

Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) is a non-profit student-run organisation that empowers young people to participate and make an impact in space exploration.
The largest student-run space organization in the world, SEDS consists of an international community of high school, undergraduate, and graduate students from a diverse range of educational backgrounds in chapters all over the world.

What is SEDS SLTC ?

SEDS SLTC is the Chapter of SEDS from SLTC, we are affiliated to the local SEDS branch SEDS Sri Lanka and through it to all the SEDS Chapters established within Sri Lankan universities. To give our members a thorough experience of the field, we have 7 divisions in SEDS SLTC & they are:

Robotics and Rover Division
Observation Division
Biomedical & Earth Science Division
Satellite & IT Division
Rocketry Division
Aeronautical Division
Financial & Management Division

We enable students to attend space conferences, publish their work, and develop their professional network through connections made within the field with professionals. We help students become more effective in their present and future careers in industry, academia, government, and education. We develop technical and leadership skills in our members by providing opportunities to manage and participate in projects ranging from provincial to international scopes.

To create an engaging platform for the students to learn, explore and revolutionize the existing knowledge of space and to ensure that the curious minds are provided with equal and unparalleled opportunities to enhance the novelty in space study.
